Yo guys! Today I'll be talking about the 4th episode of Ginga Kikoutai: Majestic Prince which offers some more backstory and an intro to some new characters.
So it seems like the war suddenly happened. The aliens came out of nowhere and since the initial attack, they've been left in the dark when it comes to technology, objectives, etc.
Kids over the age of 12 have been altered to become fighting soldiers and Rin-Rin has been in charge of them as an instructor at the academy.
The episode continues the fight from last episode with Tamaki getting her machine badly destroyed forcing her to eject. It wouldn't have been possible if Izura didn't do what he did so he really did save her life. He also tried to play hero again and went and saved Kei leaving his suit immobile. Luckily he was saved by this group called Team Doberman who are their senpai's and highly more skilled.
This episode also showed how stupid the captain is not issuing a retreat earlier costing them tons of damages.
The scene where they talked about if they would be hugged if they died was pretty sad. In the end, they are just kids after all and kids have no place on the battlefield. Asagi told them straight that they probably won't, and that's probably true seeing how they have no past.
